Removing email addresses flagged as spam, bounced or unsubscribed from a Shopify integration list in tinyAlbert is tricky. But we have a workaround.

Remember, you can't directly remove contacts in tinyAlbert integration lists because of limitations created by Shopify. Even if you somehow manage to delete unwanted emails from tinyAlbert, those names and email addresses will reappear in your list after 24 hours because tinyAlbert data gets synced from Shopify.

A workable workaround

Next time you send a campaign, check the stats for bounced messages, spam, or unsubscribed emails. On our end, your reputation is protected because tinyAlbert won't send messages to those email addresses again thanks to our flagging system. But now you want to clean the list. Here’s how you can do that.

  1. Click the tinyAlbert Audience menu link.

  2. Locate and open the integration (Shopify) list used for the campaign.

Click the Filter icon. In the popup, select the filter tags you want to enable (i.e. Spam, Unsubscribed, or Bounced). Click Save.

Based on those filter selections, tinyAlbert displays a list of email addresses that you could remove.

Editing the Shopify list

Go to your Shopify admin dashboard and click the Customers link. Scroll through the list and search for the addresses that you found in the step above. Manually select each email address.

To delete one or more addresses, click the three-dot icon and select Delete customers.

It's a manual slog, to be sure, but shortcuts won't work in this case. Deleting email addresses manually ensures they are removed from Shopify and, upon the next sync, tinyAlbert too.

That’s all.

Now your audience list is clean!
