Yup, you can edit and customize a tinyAlbert automation. Tweak the copy, add a link, or change the subject line. You decide how to drive your automations to the next level! Here's how.

A different article shows you how to customize a campaign template. The editing process is quite similar. Click here to learn more.

Opening the editor

The first step is to open an automation.

  1. Click the Automations link on the side menu and locate an automation.

  2. Deactivate the automation by switching off the toggle. The automation card changes from white to grey.

  3. Click the three-dot icon and select Edit.

Reviewing the Details page

On the Details page, you can update the Subject line (don't break the merge code). If you want, add emojis. Optionally, add a short passage to the Preview Text field. Click Next to open the automation in the editor.

The editor tool opens. There are three main areas.

  1. Menu bar - When you select a text element, a menu bar displays at the top of the page. Use these tools to style text and add links.

  2. Canvas - The canvas shows each part of the message. Move the mouse across the message, and you can see each separate element (e.g. containers and blocks).

  3. Side Panel - Each element is connected to the side panel, which holds the design tools. In the example below, the side panel displays the AI Writing Support tool.

A few important notes

After you edit a message and save the changes, be sure to Activate the automation.

You can customize the footer. Those changes do not affect the footer in other automations. If you want to change the address information in the footer of all automation, edit the sender details. Click here to learn more.

It is possible to remove the Unsubscribe link in the footer. I urge you not to remove that link. The Unsubscribe link is required. Messages without an Unsubscribe link are non-compliant, which could lead to some uncomfortable conversations. It also looks damn unprofessional.

  • BTW Our dev team is working on a solution to prevent people from removing the unsubscribe link, but it takes a bit of time.

You can add an Unsubscribe link and place it anywhere inside the automation. Click here to learn more.

More features

The tinyAlbert editor is a powerful tool, and there is much to learn. The good news is that it's mostly drag-and-drop and very intuitive.
